A motorcycle track experience at Road America is not limited to one standard program. Throughout the riding season, several established motorcycle organizations bring their own track-day formats, coaching methods and rider groups to the legendary Wisconsin circuit.

Riders can choose from programs hosted by Zalusky Advanced Riding School, MotoVid and Sportbike Track Time, along with additional motorcycle track-day events appearing on Road America’s calendar. Some emphasize structured rider education, while others combine coaching with generous open-track sessions for novice, intermediate and advanced participants.

What they share is the opportunity to ride Road America’s full four-mile circuit—a track known for its speed, elevation changes, technical corners and long straightaways.

Motorcycle Track Events on Road America’s Four-Mile Circuit

Road America directs riders to several independent clubs and organizations that provide motorcycle track time. Because registration, group assignments, equipment requirements and coaching formats are managed by the individual organizer, riders can select the motorcycle track experience that best matches their goals.

The 4.048-mile course features 14 turns, approximately 150 feet of elevation change and three long straightaways. That combination allows riders to work on much more than outright speed. A lap demands controlled braking, accurate corner entry, thoughtful line selection and smooth acceleration as the course moves through the natural terrain surrounding Elkhart Lake.

For riders accustomed to shorter circuits, Road America’s scale is immediately noticeable. Each lap provides time to settle into a rhythm, evaluate technique and experience how a motorcycle behaves across very different sections of track.

Zalusky Advanced Riding School Track Days

Zalusky Advanced Riding School, commonly known as ZARS, offers track days and advanced riding instruction at Road America. Its programs are designed to accommodate riders who want conventional track time as well as those looking for more focused education.

ZARS scheduled motorcycle track days at Road America for May 25 and 26 during the 2026 season. The organization also operates at Brainerd International Raceway and Blackhawk Farms, giving Midwest riders access to several circuits and program formats.

One of the distinguishing elements of ZARS is the range of participation options it offers. Depending on the event, riders may be able to register for a standard track day, additional track time or a school-based program.

Its School of R.O.C.C. is intended for intermediate and advanced riders and racers who want more detailed coaching. Instruction can focus on improving lap times, increasing confidence, refining technique and finding a more effective line around Road America.

That makes ZARS a strong option for riders who view their motorcycle track experience as part of a longer progression. A participant may begin by learning track procedures and building consistency, then return for more advanced coaching as their pace and confidence improve.

MotoVid RIDE Road America Events

MotoVid brings its All Levels Track Day format to Road America through its RIDE Road America events. For 2026, MotoVid lists events on Monday, August 24, and Monday, September 21.

MotoVid separates riders into four experience-based groups:

• Blue for advanced riders
• Green for Intermediate 1
• Orange for Intermediate 2
• Yellow for novice riders

Each group receives its own track sessions, with assigned control riders helping to create an organized environment for riders at different stages of development. The four-group structure is particularly useful because it creates additional separation within the broad intermediate category.

A rider who has moved beyond the novice level but is not yet comfortable in a faster intermediate or advanced group can select a placement that better reflects their experience. MotoVid asks registrants about their years of riding, number of previous track days, desired group and most recent track-day placement to help organize participants appropriately.

For first-time track riders, the Yellow group offers an entry point into the Road America experience without placing them immediately among the fastest riders. More experienced participants can use the Green, Orange or Blue groups to ride at a pace suited to their familiarity and ability.

Sportbike Track Time at Road America

Sportbike Track Time is scheduled to visit Road America on August 10 and 11, 2026. Riders can register for an individual Monday or Tuesday session or select a two-day bundle covering both days.

Sportbike Track Time organizes events for riders of different skill levels and places track coaches within each group. Participants choose a group based on their experience and ride at their own pace, while coaches observe riders and help maintain appropriate group placement.

The two-day format offers an appealing option for riders traveling to Road America. Rather than becoming familiar with the circuit during a single day and leaving just as the layout begins to feel natural, riders can return the following morning with greater knowledge of the braking zones, corner sequences and elevation changes.

Sportbike Track Time estimates that its event format can provide approximately 140 to 160 miles of track time. Over two days, that can translate into substantial exposure to Road America’s 14-turn layout.

All motorcycles must pass technical inspection before being admitted to the track. Riders are responsible for preparing their motorcycles before the event, and a motorcycle that fails inspection may not be permitted to participate.

N2 Motorcycle Track Days

Road America’s 2026 calendar also lists N2 Motorcycle Track Days for August 31 and September 1. The event is scheduled on the four-mile track from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This provides another late-season opportunity for riders interested in experiencing Road America over a two-day period. As with the other independently operated events, participants should review N2’s current registration policies, rider classifications, motorcycle preparation rules and protective-equipment requirements before booking.

The presence of multiple organizers across August and September gives riders several ways to fit a Road America motorcycle track experience into their season. It also allows experienced track riders to compare different coaching and session formats.

A Track That Rewards Precision

Road America may be famous for its high-speed character, but its appeal comes from the variety within each lap.

The long straightaways give motorcycles room to accelerate, yet the circuit also requires riders to prepare for substantial braking zones and changes in direction. Elevation changes influence sight lines and corner approaches, while the length of the track makes consistency especially important.

A rider who loses rhythm in one section still has several miles of circuit ahead. That encourages participants to remain composed, reset their focus and approach each sequence independently.

For novice riders, the first sessions may be devoted to learning where the course goes. Intermediate riders may focus on making their inputs smoother and connecting one corner to the next. Advanced riders can concentrate on braking markers, line refinement, body position and repeatable lap execution.

Before choosing an event, riders should consider how much instruction they want, how many track days they have completed and whether they prefer a one-day or two-day format.

A newer rider may be drawn to MotoVid’s four-group structure or an event with dedicated novice coaching. A more experienced participant may prefer ZARS instruction through the School of R.O.C.C. or a multi-day Sportbike Track Time event. Riders looking for an additional late-summer opportunity can also explore the N2 dates listed on Road America’s calendar.

Some clubs require participants to register for the organization or the larger weekend event before purchasing track time. Road America therefore recommends contacting the individual host and reviewing its requirements before registering.

Motorcycle preparation, protective gear, technical inspection rules and passing procedures can also differ by provider. Those details should be reviewed well before arrival rather than left until the morning of the event.
