Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend with VSCDA Returns to Road America September 12–14
ELKHART LAKE, Wis., – September 3, 2025 – Road America will come alive September 12–14 for the Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend with the Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association (VSCDA), a celebration of classic motorsport and community fun that continues to be a favorite among fans of all ages. This event is not just a race; it’s a three-day journey through time, where the past meets the present on one of the most iconic tracks in the world as Road America celebrates its 70th Anniversary.
More than 300 vintage and historic race cars are set to take on the legendary 4-mile, 14-turn road course, competing in multiple classes ranging from pre-war machines and early production sports cars to prototypes, open wheel, and modern production groups. Featured events include the Kimberly Cup, Sheldon Cup, Carl Haas Cup, Elkhart Lake Cup, the Founders Tribute Race, Formula Ford East vs. West Challenge, and special 70th Anniversary Invitational races that honor Road America’s storied history.
Overall, the weekend offers a wide mix of family-friendly
activities. Fans can enjoy the Ferris wheel, open Friday through
Sunday, along with live music from the 2/5th’s Polka Band on
Friday evening. A spectacular fireworks show, presented by Acuity
Insurance, will light up the sky Friday night. Other highlights
include the popular Sunset Cruise on Friday evening, giving
participants the rare chance to drive three laps on the same
circuit as the racing legends before the fireworks begin. On
Sunday, Plein Air artists will display and auction their
trackside creations, blending art with motorsport in a unique fan
experience. 
On-track touring sessions will also be available on Saturday and Sunday for those eager to experience the track firsthand. For a fee (plus event admission), street-legal sedans and sports cars can take to the course each day (no trucks, SUVs, vans, motorcycles, or racecars). Advance registration is recommended, but you can also purchase a touring pass on-site. The paddock will be open all weekend, allowing fans an up-close look at the cars and conversations with the drivers.
In honor of America’s heroes, Road America is proud to offer FREE admission all weekend to active—and reserve-duty military members and veterans with ID.
Bring the entire family to the Ariens Art on Wheels Vintage Weekend for non-stop racing excitement. Weekend campsites are also available, making the races fun and affordable.
