Open Camping on Non-Public Weekends

Road America is open for camping on select non-public weekends from May through September including Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekends. Road America’s 640-acres of natural rolling terrain includes nature trails, disc golf, and 4 Miles of Fitness – where you can walk, bike, or run around the 4-mile racetrack. The grounds are close to fishing areas, golf courses, and boating areas in beautiful Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. There will be on track activities during non-public racing weekends, so expect to hear racing activity throughout the weekend.

Activities for Campers

  • Campers, decorate your campsite for the Most Awesome Campsite Contest Presented by Kunes RV during the 2022 INDYCAR, NASCAR and IMSA race weekends.
  • Disc Golf: Test your skills on our 18-hole disc golf course on the Road America property. The front nine holes begin across from Gearbox concessions in the paddock. The back nine holes are located west of the Sargento Bridge, toward the Briggs and Stratton Motorplex. Disc rentals are available in the Paddock Shop. Disc golf is available during all public racing events.
  • Public Karting: Ages 14 and over, with a parent or guardian over the age of 18, can enjoy Road America’s public karting course during select race weekends. This is located at the Road America Motorplex, infield over the Johnsonville Bridge near turns 7 and 8.
