What MotoAmerica is
MotoAmerica is the North American road racing series for motorcycles. Its premier class is Superbike: production-based sport bikes built into full race machines. The series also runs several support classes that range from middleweight sport bikes to big touring “bagger” motorcycles.
Road America calls itself the fastest permanent road course in North America, and its long straights and fast corners suit motorcycles well. MotoAmerica’s chief operating officer has called Road America “one of the highlights” of the series calendar. Road America reported record attendance for the 2025 event.
The weekend at a glance
The event runs from Friday at 8:00 a.m. through Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Here’s how the weekend is laid out:

| Sunday | June 6, 2027 | Racing all day |

Tickets and admission
Advance full-weekend tickets for 2027 are $80 for a limited time. You can buy them through Road America’s ticket promotions page or the MotoAmerica tickets and camping page.
- Kids 16 and under get in free with a paying general admission adult.
- Students get $10 off at the gate with a current student ID (one per person).
- General admission includes the paddock. You can walk the race paddock and see the teams and riders up close.
- There’s no assigned seating. Bring a chair and watch from any public viewing area on the property.
For a reserved place to watch, the Finish Line Tower package includes full event admission along with Saturday and Sunday hospitality: breakfast, a hot lunch, afternoon snacks, beer, water and soda, rooftop viewing and reserved VIP parking. There’s also an upgrade option if you already have a ticket.
The racing classes
Superbike is the main event, backed by what Road America calls “a full slate of support classes.” The 2027 class lineup hasn’t been confirmed yet. At the 2026 event, five classes raced:
- Superbike, the premier class
- Supersport, middleweight sport bikes
- Mission King Of The Baggers, big touring motorcycles with saddlebags, raced flat out
- Twins Cup, twin-cylinder motorcycles
- Royal Enfield Build.Train.Race.
Vintage MotoFest
Vintage MotoFest takes over Saturday, June 5. The centerpiece is a ride-in motorcycle show: ride your bike in, register it between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Saturday, and it goes on display for the day. Road America’s event page lists award categories including Café Racer, Rat Bike, Scooter, Chopper, Race, Sport Bike, Military Bike, Stock/Restored, Fan’s Choice and Judge’s Choice.
The event page also lists stunt shows and motorcycle vendors for MotoFest. Watch the event page for confirmed 2027 activities.
If you want to ride the track yourself, the event page lists Salute to Cycles Touring, which lets fans take their own motorcycles around the circuit. It’s sold separately from general admission, online or at any gate before 10:30 a.m.
Camping and golf carts
Camping and golf cart rentals for the 2027 MotoAmerica weekend go on sale October 5, 2026. Road America notes that golf carts often sell out quickly, so if you want one, book early.
Road America has more than 1,000 campsites, each about 20 by 40 feet, on grass, gravel or pavement. Electric sites have 50-amp service. There are no water hookups, but potable water is available in the Carousel, and there are dump stations in the Carousel and near Gate 6. Each campsite requires:
- A campsite reservation
- A full event ticket for everyone over 16
- A camping wristband for everyone over 16
Campers enter through Gate 4 on County Road J. Compare zones and site types on the Road America camping page.
Getting in and getting around
General admission ticket holders enter through the Main Gate on Highway 67 or Gate 3 on County Road J. Both are open 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Gate 3 also handles golf cart sales. Gate 5 is closed for this event.
Only licensed, street-legal vehicles are allowed on the property, and the paddock is foot traffic only. A free tram runs all three days, so look for the tram flags at pickup points. Big screens and trackside radio help you follow the action when you’re away from the start-finish line.
For viewing spots, Turn 5, Canada Corner and the Kink are popular places to set up a chair. The Road America Good Times Guide has the fan map.
What to bring
Road America allows carry-ins, so coolers are fine in open grass areas and campsites, though not in concession seating areas. Glass isn’t permitted. Early June weather in Wisconsin can swing from cool mornings to warm afternoons, with rain always possible, so dress in layers.
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Sunscreen, a hat and a rain layer
- A folding chair
- Hearing protection
- Your riding gear, if you’re bringing a bike for MotoFest or Salute to Cycles
Firearms, fireworks and drones aren’t allowed, and chairs or canopies left overnight to save a spot will be removed. See the Road America FAQ for the full list of rules and accessibility information.
