IT Technician
Part-Time

Road America is looking for a part-time IT Technician to assist with technological transformation efforts at America’s premier road course facility. This position would report to the /network Administrator and would be an essential part of delivering technology resources to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Setting up end-user-compute resources (Desktops, Laptops, Peripherals, Mobile Devices)
Configuring, Maintaining, & Troubleshooting computer hardware & software
Maintaining & upgrading local networks to ensure reliability and performance
Assist with maintaining a strong Information Security posture for the organization
Provide orientation & guidance to users on using hardware & software resources
Ensuring consistency of deployment practices for new hardware & software resources
Assisting with technology refresh & rehabilitation projects

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous IT Administration experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
In-depth understanding of numerous disparate technologies that need to interact with one another
Knowledge of Information Security principles
Experience with LAN/WAN technologies
Experience with desktop/end-user support
Experience with Point-Of-Sale systems preferred
Preferred extensive Experience with Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policy
CompTIA A+, Net+, and Security+ (or better) preferred

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands. The employee is subject to outside environment conditions such as cold weather or extreme heat. Also, subject to noise and fast-moving objects. Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. occasionally.

Hours:

Hours will vary depending on the need, but the individual will need to be flexible and be able to work weekends on a periodic basis to support our weekend-based race events such as Indycar, Nascar, IMSA, etc.
