We are seeking a dynamic, energetic retail assistant to support Road America’s growing retail segment. In this position, you will play a key role in merchandising assigned departments. You must be organized, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable of our products with an engaging, upbeat personality. You will also provide stellar customer service to race-day fans and the public, year-round.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Provide administration support for specific departments including monitoring inventory levels, implementing sales strategies and forecasting/planning.
Oversee department merchandising, create and maintain displays.
Maintain efficient back stock storage system for ease of restocking and reordering
Assist shoppers with product selection. Process payments using point of sale system.
Assist with ecommerce efforts including website monitoring and order fulfillment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent; two years of secondary education preferred.
Previous retail and/or sales experience, especially in inventory management.
Strong aptitude for processing highly detailed information.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Able to work rotating weekends, primarily May through October.
Ability to work daytime shifts, typically within the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Store hours may be extended during major race weekends and special events.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands. Must have the ability to lift at least 25 lbs. occasionally. Must be comfortable processing cash transactions with accuracy and have great attention to detail.
