A mid-summer favorite, the WeatherTech® International Challenge with Brian Redman at Road America taking place July 14-17 is one of the largest vintage racing events in the United States. The WeatherTech® International Challenge road race features over 400 cars competing in several groups. The 2022 International Challenge at Road America will also feature a special All American Racers (AAR) Eagle racer reunion. AAR designed and built just 158 Eagle racing cars between 1965 and 2012. Come out to Road America to witness this impressive racing legacy.

In addition to the weekend races, make time to attend the Road America Concours d’ Elegance Friday and Saturday evening in downtown Elkhart Lake. Thousands of fans will ascend upon downtown Elkhart Lake on Friday night from 6 – 8 p.m. to see a thrilling display of racecars. Come back at the same time Saturday night in downtown Elkhart Lake to see exotic sports cars rarely seen otherwise. This spectacular display of high-performance race machines is a can’t miss event for any enthusiast or casual observer. Be sure to come out early and perhaps grab a bite to eat at one of Elkhart Lake’s premium dining establishments to beat the rush.

With so much going on in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this weekend consider camping on-site on one of Road America’s 1,000+ campsites. Kids 16 and under get free general admission to all Road America season racing events with a paying adult at the gate, so plan on bringing the entire family for non-stop racing excitement!

Road America Concours d’Elegance for Racecars

A can’t miss spectacle for enthusiasts of all ages is the Road America Concours d’Elegance for racecars on Friday night, where the cars park along Lake Street in downtown Elkhart Lake from 6-8 p.m. The experience itself is unique in that you are seeing the pinnacle of vintage motoring lined up on the racing surface where history was made for 65 years. Fans will have the rare opportunity to stand inches away from legends like the Porsche 917, 908, 906, Ferrari 312 and 312pb, Lola T165, 911 RSR’s, Shelby GT 350s, and on and on and on.

Road America Concours d’Elegance for Sports Cars

Saturday night is the Road America Concours d’Elegance for Sports Cars from 6-8 p.m., also in Elkhart Lake. Brimming with rarity, the track fills again. Most are rare metal, fast metal, and only once in a lifetime, you’ll see it sports car bravado. The access again is unprecedented. Seeing owners giving little kids seat time in the race and sports cars is part of the fun. In short, events like this, having the young ones exposed to the cars, and the sensations surrounding the event is critical to continuing the heritage of vintage racing.

During the Concours events, Road America encourages everyone to follow safe practices, such as social distancing (maintaining six feet from others), frequent hand washing, or using hand sanitizer. Cloth face coverings are also recommended in areas where social distancing is difficult to maintain.

Practice and qualifying will be on Friday and Saturday with Feature Races on Sunday.
